Volux is a browser extension for per-domain volume control. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices.
Data Collection
Volux does NOT collect, store, or transmit any personal data.
What We Store Locally
The following data is stored only on your device using browser local storage:
- Volume preferences - Your chosen volume levels for each domain
- License key - If you activate a Pro license (stored locally for validation)
- Domain list - The websites you've added for volume control
What We Do NOT Collect
- No personal information
- No browsing history
- No analytics or tracking
- No cookies for advertising
- No data shared with third parties
Permissions Explained
Volux requires certain browser permissions to function:

| tabs | To identify which tabs contain audio and get domain names |
| storage | To save your volume preferences locally |
| scripting | To inject the volume control script into web pages |
| host_permissions | To control audio on any website you choose |
License Validation
When you activate a Pro license:
- Your license key is validated against LemonSqueezy's API
- Only the license key is sent (no personal data)
- The validation confirms the license is valid
- Your license status is stored locally
Third-Party Services
LemonSqueezy - Payment processing for Pro licenses (only if you purchase)

Data Security
- All data remains on your device
- No external servers store your information
- No accounts or sign-ups required
Children's Privacy
Volux does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13.
